App-based food delivery service Bite Squad is now available on Maui.
The app launched service in Kahului last week, and currently has partnered with 45 area restaurants, including Tin Roof Maui, Maui Tacos, Badua’s Maui Crepes & Grill, Pizza in Paradise and Wei Wei Cafe & Noodle House.
Bite Squad was founded in Minneapolis in 2012 and now partners with more than 11,000 restaurants in more than 375 cities. It launched in Hawaii in 2016. Kahului marks the sixth service area in the state — and the first outside of Oahu, where it now partners with 550 restaurants and is available in Honolulu, Kailua, Kapolei, Mililani and Salt Lake.
“Hawaii has been a phenomenal market for us — we’ve experienced rapid growth on Oahu and see great growth potential on Maui as well,” Liz Sniegocki, Bite Squad director of communications, told PBN via email.
“When we look to launch or expand in a new area, we look first and foremost for a great restaurant selection, as our business is built on the back of great restaurants,” Sniegocki said. “Additionally, we look for a strong population base to keep our employee drivers busy. Kahului offers both! Coupled with the success we’ve had in our Oahu markets, we feel it’s an ideal area to add to our delivery platform.”
