Sarento’s at the Top of the Ilikai to Close After 25 Years This Month

Sarento's Top of the Ilikai Closing

Sarento’s, the Italian restaurant at the top of the Ilikai hotel building, will close at the end of this month.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported restaurant founder and CEO Aaron Placourakis decided to move on after 25 years at the Ilikai.

The restaurant, which is part of Tri-Star Restaurant Group LLC, will serve its last customers on Sept. 30.

Placourakis said all of the establishment’s 47 employees will be relocated. They will have the opportunity to transfer to other restaurants within the company or interview for other restaurants in Hawaii.
